Mr Carl Rainey - Deputy President General Insurance Services

 

 

Carl started his insurance career with Hibernian Insurances in 1972. In 1981 he established his own brokerage, Rainey Insurances Ltd and 10 years later merged with the business of Alan Gibson to become Rainey Gibson Ltd.  In 1999 they set up a personal lines call centre known as Top Quote Direct in Letterkenny, Co Donegal and now employ over 40 people.  Carl has served on Council of the Irish Brokers Association in the past and on various different committee down through the years. 

Carl has been an active member of the Cystic Fibrosis Association of Ireland and became National Chairperson for 3 years in 2002.  Carl was born, reared and now lives in Letterkenny with his wife Katrina and has two children.

 

 

Ms. Rhona Burke- Deputy President Financial Services 

Rhona started her career with the Norwich Union life Insurance society now Aviva in 1978.  Having spent 5 years with Aviva she left to establish a Financial Service Brokerage Baseplan Ltd in 1983 who operate from offices at Donnybrook, Dublin 4. Her business concentrates primarily on financial services requirements for private individuals with a focus on financial and retirement planning advice employing 10 staff.

Rhona is a founding member of the Independent Mortgage Advisors Federation (IMAF) and also a past president.
